If anyone has had more fun than me with this series of stories, I'll buy them a Coco Loco Moco!
Writing is often hard work: stirring plot around pace and mixing in danger and success for the characters. Those who have read this series understand I spend less time doing that than most. However, the value rests, if I may suggest in the texture of the story - the ambiance.
These books aim to take you to a place you have not been - in a long while or perhaps even ever. Comfortable, safe and exotic. Just make sure that before you start reading, you've freed your toes from your shoes, relaxed your back in a hammock and covered your eyes with a shady hat. A cool refreshing drink wouldn't hurt either.
